Yes i got the same ..
Easily provides 300+ mbps and no major heating issues with it . Though it is also just a rebranded generic one but it's surely better than what excitel earlier provided for ₹750 ( as what my lco guy told me the reason of 750 to ₹1000 jump).
A company Technxt ( Jalandhar ) imports it to India from China .
Hi,

I have recently upgraded to Excitel fiber with the Rs. 1000 ONU box (look like one in the photo in this thread). I have opted for 200 Mpbs plan but I get speed upto 100Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload on LAN . LCO told me that it is the limitation of Rs. 1000 ONU box and to get more speed I must get the Rs. 2000 ONU box + wifi. Is this even true?

Just FYI wifi router is TP-Link AC750

Can somebody assist me with this confusion and query, please?

Thanks in anticipation.

Router does seem to have gigabit ethernet ports so that does not seem like the problem here.

Have you tried speedtest directly connected to the Excitel ONU?

Hi Sushubh, that was a fast response. Thanks.

I assume the question is for me. I have not tried it yet. I'll do that and get back to you.

yeah. best remove any doubts related to the TP-Link router you added in the mix.

i have their older 750 onu and it support 300mbps just fine. i imagine 1000 onu should support 300mbps as well.

I tried connecting directly from the ONU box but it did not show any connection.

Also tried to run diagnostics but still no connection. I don't know what could be the issue (not a technically inclined user)

I have put it back to the router and it works fine.

Yes, the LCO set it all up. Unfortunately it was done when I was in the office and was overseen by my family.
Can I retrieve the pppoe details from somewhere?

he can probably tell you on the phone. they usually keep it in a standard format.

check the source code of the TP-Link page where pppoe connection is stored. it might show the password. export settings file, it might also have the password in plain text maybe.

I got the details. Connected it directly> created pppoe> works now> performed speed test

results: ping 3ms but the UL and DL speeds do not touch even 100Mbps

I think TP-Link AC750 10/100 Ethernet Ports, that could be why you aren't getting above that.

I assume you have this one?

You buy this router or LCO gave it to you? If LCO gave it then tell them to give you a Gigabit Ethernet router.

have you checked your plan specification on my.excitel.com? is this a new connection or did you upgrade from ethernet to fiber?

Yes JB I have the same. But now I had connected it directly to ONU box. still the same issue.

@ Sushubh: I upgraded from ethernet to fiber. Plan shows as Excitel Fiber 3+1 200

how long ago did you update? coz excitel takes 24-48 hours for plan change. but if it appears in backend, it should be implemented.
also i imagine you have restarted the onu in recent hours. because that might help with the plan update. i had to restart it at my end to get the upgraded speeds.
