An extremely dumb question about Bridge Mode on Nokia G2425-G.

Is enabling Bridge mode as simple as toggling the port mode in Network>LAN, or is there something else that needs to be configured from the back end? The engineer assigned to my ticket told me that's all I had to do, but I am not entirely sure he knows what he's talking about.

Connecting my TP-Link AX50 to the port I had toggled on the above screen didn't work, and it wasn't able to get an IP address. Assuming bridge mode is actually enabled coorectly, what internet type should be selecting on my TP-Link router (DynamicIP/PPPoE)? Do I need to set a VLAN ID?

Usually with FTTH, you have to call up Airtel and request for bridge mode as it depends on OLT’s configuration which is connected to your G2425-G. Preferably let Airtel’s engineer do it for you.

@thesickcynic In Nokia ONT, You just have to change the port option to Bridge. No need to even raise any service request. But you need to understand when you enable bridge mode, you will have to create PPPoE dialup from TP-Link router. Username- you can see in your Nokia ONT and the password is your account number (not landline/phone number). You will also need to enabled VLAN and set it to 100. That's it your internet will connect in TP-Link.
But now the main question is if you are not aware of bridge mode, Are you sure you even need it? Connect your TP-Link router on LAN with Route mode and use.

@thesickcynic To put your Noka G-2425G-A Bridge Mode need to contact Airtel Backend Team ask them to change Connection Mode - Bridge mode after doing this your Router become Dumb Bridge Mode just as Media converter you can connect your own any router/firewall and configure it PPPOE/Static IP.

This full proof dumb Nokia router Airtel custom firmware we can't change anything....

@flame I understand this is WAN bridge. As long as Airtel supports multi PPPoE dialup, there is no need to contact Airtel guys to create a WAN bridge. Users themselves can put any port of the ONT on Bridge and have their own router connected. Can simply ignore Airtel ONTs WAN PPPoE dialup. There are very few people for whom this doesn't work and they have to contact the Airtel team to enable the port bridge.
