Hi, It is beetel m51 model phone.
The display did not work as expected, but phone was working fine hitherto.
suddenly, there was peculiar noise and i complained to the bsnl. They checked and said that fault lies in the instrument. beetel
Now, the phone is not working. When you dial that number from other phones, the phone is ringing , but when you take the receiver, there is no noise at all, There is no dial tone either.
I have ordered a new one, but due to lockdown, my order was cancelled and refund is on way..
Now, I ask.
can i transfer my landline phone calls to my mobile, so that i could receive all the landline calls. Some only contact me in tha landline phone.
My instrument speaker or mic would have some defects causing this.
But as phone is ringing in , I suppose, that call is being received by the landline.
can i call forward the landline calls to my mobile
I heard about google voice, but that is only available in usa now.
Is there any mobile app or settings that i could tweak to get the landline calls in my mobile.
if anybody helps , it will be a boon to me not to miss any landline important calls.

Hi, unless the speaker or mic is gone, i do not know how to find. Even when i remove the reciever from the cradle, the phone rings for outside calls.
could any one help

@rajujayaraman i think you'll have to setup a SIP Soft-phone, I'm not an expert in this domian but people have had success in setting up SIP on BSNL using the following the thread. See if it helps and if you have doubts just post them in that thread and I'm those who have a successful setup will help.

Hi, Thanks for the answer. I could easily set up a particular, static ip for the device. But will the landline shown up in the connected client device. Do landline phone have mac address. is ftth connection not different from landlilne connection.
I am not having ffth broadband connection.
I just have a bsnl broadband connection

@rajujayaraman Since you posted in the Bharat Fiber I assumed that your landline was working off of a FTTH connection, since you are a regular ADSL broadband subscriber then my previous advice won't work for your case, sorry.

Maybe try this if it helps (there maybe some charges involved) -
About FMC

Hi, I could as well buy a landline phone instead of FMC.
Thanks.
There is no separate subgroup for bsnl landline in this forum.
Please also , say if my landline rings when i dial the number from another mobile , then the speaker in the handset is working . is it not correct to presume

@rajujayaraman Yeah you could buy a new landline but as you mentioned above in your post that you're unable to procure one due to lockdown and no one knows how long it'll extend for hence I said that maybe you should look at FMC if it suits your needs since you don't want to miss your important landline calls.

From your original post above I get that you're not getting any sound from the receiver when you pick up your phone during an incoming call, Since the speaker is working because it rings when you receive a call, have you tried receiving a call on speaker mode only, what happens then?

Also do you have a friend or neighbor nearby from whom you can borrow his/her landline just to be sure that the wire is really not the issue here and fault lies solely with the landline device, I'm asking this because long back I had kind of a similar problem in my landline and my lineman told me that ADSL internet can work on a single wire but landline requires both the wires in working condition, so if there is even a minor cut in any one of the two wires internet will work giving the appearance that the wires are fine and the landline will ring as well but actual call won't connect properly. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I already checked that. The modem jack was replaced and checked with landline. The same problem.
The telephone wire jack works at modem jack.
I know that this is instrument issue. But is there any link , that you give for easy repair.
I dismantled the phone and receiver, but with the connection.
Do you mean the speaker in the handset or receiver
Are there any speaker inside the instrument? other than the handset speaker

@rajujayaraman I suppose your particular model m 51 doesn't have speaker facility inbuilt. well then I'm out of ideas. Hope you get a resolution soon enough.
Btw when you said that you interchanged both the jacks i.e. the modem and landline, you meant the two jacks that come after splitting the wire that comes from the pole outside?

Hi, what i mean , the outer pole wire is connected to a one way switch, which has wire connector and a jack. From it, a jack is connected to spliltter, which in turn , gives two jack connections one for modem and one for phone.
I think , that I made it clear for you to answer
