Less speed in BSNL FTTH

i am still not sure what the query is. wireless is dependent upon a lot of factors. including hardware on router and the device. and the distance between the two device.

See the above files.
I still cannot get how the hell do you get 162 Mbps link speed unless you got a real person router and Wifi chip.
I have Archer c6 and tried with flagship phones. I still get maximum link speed of 144mbps on phones with real life speed touching 110 Mbps of 2.4 GHz.
Please clarify if you are using same name for both frequency.

To Sushubh :
You said that my laptop WiFi card will not support more than 50 Mbps. But see the pictures.

No. I am using 2.4 GHz name for 2.4 GHz signal and 5 GHz name for 5 GHz signal. Ok?.

Just to update, your wifi card support maximum throughput of 300 Mbps, that is only on 5Ghz. So, I expect your 2.4Ghz speed to be around 50 Mbps at best.
Well, you even do not need more than 50mbps generally.
It's just that your wifi card is old. Get it upgraded if it is a desktop. If it is a laptop, never mind. Get new one then.

Depends on design. If you buy one with smaller footprint, they suck but get your basic browsing done.
There are great quality usb wifi adapter available in the market.
TP-Link Archer T4U is great but none of the USB wifi adapter are worth the money.

that laptop should have a usb2 port i imagine. so a good quality usb based wireless card might help him achieve faster than 50mbps i imagine.

We can only imagine, reviews of most affordable USB wifi adaptors show very bad speed.
Better change the laptop than change the wifi card. Mini-card are so hard to find.

I purchased laptop in 2016 when internet plans were usually in range of 5-10mbps.
It has only FE and 2.4Ghz wifi.
Should I change laptop too 😏? @Kick933

The line below is no way related to the started thread, WiFi speed problem.

There is a problem at BSNL Salem SSA (Tamilnadu). So the speed is slow. I will test again and post here.

If you are getting the latest WiFi card, then buy that and fix. The default config of my Dell inspiron 1545 had only 2.4 GHz. I told them to change the card during customization of the specification. Now it supports 2.4 and 5 GHz.

Ya. Because even a USB 2.0 WiFi adaptor must support upto 480 Mbps (60 MB / s ) network speed which is = the speed of USB 2.0.

@sudhakar37ym
Don't get it messed up bro.
USB standard support 480 Mbps does not mean that it will be the minimum throughput.
It is just that,we can send 480 Mbps across USB.
IT WILL NOT NECESSARILY PUSH THE WIFI ADAPTER TO SEND 480 Mbps data or receive it.
It is like a German highway, but Maruti 800 would not run at 300KMPH juust because it's German highway.
