I got a new alliance broadband ip from kerala vision operator, since they compelled it was the best option in my area. I'm satisfied with the speeds and all out of the 50mbps plan. But the warzone game does not connect through on wifi, even though im getting 40+ mbps up and down on speedtest. The router is on the ground floor, and my setup is at 1st floor. At first i thought it may be of the physical hindrances. But the speedtests hold strong. The Game updates go about 15 to 35mbps on wifi. But the game does not connect through. So is there any routing issues or server issues with warzone and alliance ?! Any solutions?!

Maybe your game requires open ports and your ISP is CG-Natted due to which port forwarding doesn't work.

It works on Cellular JIO tho, it loads up with no lag. but in-game there is about 150+ ping and packet loss. After that the through the wifi it sometimes connects through, but is very slow in loading. The Nat Type in-game is type 2. Can't change it to type 1 tho. Port forwarding somehow does not work and the public IP keeps changing. Smh. Does changing Nat type to open solve this ?

@royalroy DNS issues can be solved by ourselves right? i changed to cloudflare and google, Cloudfare helps me through sometimes. Opened a Ticket already, but the regional customer support happens to be busy at all times.

Alliance BB uses a transparent DNS proxy. They always hijack your DNS queries. Verify by running extended tests on:

They only allow google DNS. I managed to get hold of their NOC team and asked them to enable Cloudflare for me. But they still relayed my DNS queries to Cloudflare through their DNS server in Kolkata, which screwed things up. The only solution is to use DNS over TLS or DNS over HTTPS. That is not possible in Windows 10 natively right now. I use a raspberry pi to relay my DNS queries over DoH. You may use the secure DNS option inside chrome and firefox, but that's not going to help with Valorant.

Since it works on Jio, the issue you are facing is not due to NAT or port blocking. (I presume Valorant is not using IPv6.) @JB701 solved a similar issue for his friend, and he may be able to help you. And alliance won't let you forward ports unless you pay them 300 + GST monthly or 3000 + GST yearly.

Raise a ticket; that's the best option.

Edit: I forgot to add. It may not be a DNS issue. I'm just speculating. A lot of Alliance BB customers in Kolkata were having latency issues with valorant. They collectively complained to Alliance and got their issue fixed.

@royalroy I contacted the customer support, they connected me through their own DNS and no change. port forwarding is not allowed. However they said NAT type could be changed on my router, but there isn't a option tho. Genexis Platinum 4410. smh.

Don't let them avoid you. Keep pestering them until they solve your issue. Changing the NAT type on your router will do nothing. They have blocked ports on their side. You can buy live IP from them at an outrageous price, but that won't solve your issue.

@royalroy Somehow my NAT went open but still with same issues. yeah im gonna pester them with this issue. The Guy you referred @JB701 said it may be a routing issue and needs a VPN. Anyway need them to make those ports open or am changing the isp. smh.
