Hello Guys,
Recently like last night I joined BSNL Fibre in Bhubaneswar, However to my dismay I have been getting only 20-30mbps on a connection of 300mbps even on 5ghz band.
Kindly advise what can be done? The equipment I am using are
Modem- Netlink GPON ONT 2GE+1POTS+ac WIFI (HG323DAC)
Router- TP-Link Archer C6.
Almost all the devices on the setup are Macs and they lack ethernet ports.

I called up the vendor and he told me that I need to speak to bsnl fibre people directly and that they'd be able to help me, and to utilise a 300mbps connections certain more changes need to be done otherwise I'll only be able to use 100mbps. Pls advise and help me in this situation

check if the cables you use are cat 5e or cat6. And, do try to get a gigabit USB adapter and attach to the Mac, directly to ONT to check the speeds. If it touches 280 to 300, ur line is fine. If not, the Uplink available to LCO is less, or they have maxed out the connections on the available ONT

It's always that the LCO maxed out and they hardly have bandwidth to share.. I'm tired of complaining too, there's no other provider and hence this is a burden to bear for long..

Update, today I revamped the entire setup, switched the TP-Link C6 to access point mode over router and while it was connected to the Netlink Modem. Result- 80-100mbps. Called up the LCO, provided me the BSNL Fibre Executive's contact with whom I was supposed to talk at 12noon. But then around 11.45am, the fibre line snagged and came back an hour ago, So will call him up tomorrow and let you guys know. I used to use Jetspot, it is amazing but the prices are astronomical and not every area is under their coverage so :/

Please raise the issue with PGMT Bhubaneswar circle , I am sure the issue will be fixed in a Jiffy
PS: may I know your exact requirements like static IP or non CG NATed connection , if not please look for jio fibre around your area and take the 300 mbps plan you won't regret post that

@Xposed , I am sorry I don't know what static IP or non CG NATed connection mean, I stay in Old Town, Jio isn't there yet. Mostly my major usage will be at home for 9 Macs, 1 Home theatre and 12 iPhone's. Most of it will be for streaming only. I used to use Jetspot wireless 16mbps plan, but it is excruciatingly slow when you combine all the systems. Hence decided to move out to BSNL fibre 300mbps plan. So when I called up the LCO, he told me that since the plan has been recently introduced in BBSR, I will need to call up BSNL Peeps at Rupali Square building. He'll help in diagnosing. Even right now while I am typing this my internet is fluctuating from 3-30mbps. So any advise is welcome on what I need to discuss with the BSNL Officer or even my LCO.
