Yes, I have checked this for IPL match on Laptop and getting 720p for VIP & 1080p for premium.
 
The front end(CDN) for website which includes everything from Images to Text basically Static Data is handled by AWS(Cloudfront) and the Video stream specially the Live ones are handled by Akamai Video CDN

I made a mistake in the last post for the backend. Clarified.
 
Something strange is going on. Sometimes the traceroute ends up at broadband.actcorp.in (183.82.12.211). While at others it goes to a104-97-76-208.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com (104.97.76.208)

Is there any way to fix the route permanently?
 
yep, it depends on dns.

On 8.8.8.8 on Excitel I get 205.254.160.51 which is directly peered with Excitel

That said I'm not sure if the streams themselves are going through TATA in this case as I remember contacting Extreme IX some time ago and they told me in some cases traceroutes don't show the route used by the applications

it works normally but in case of peering its different i guess. they didn't explain to me well (and i no longer have fb so that chat is gone unfortunately).

maybe someone more knowledgeable on this can explain it better.
