Abysmal Torrent Speed on Excitel Broadband

If you want to test then PM me some sample links and I'll generate direct links for you. I only have 2 days left on current subscription.

Excitel is not doing any throttling on any traffic, including bittorrent protocol

I just installed Excitel Fibre connection 100Mpbs. The speed good but when I use torrent, the speed went below 1KB/s. If I switched to mobile network speed went upto 2 Mb/s. I tried different torrent clients but no luck.

Excitel is terrible for torrenting. I don't know the exact reason but I think its because torrents struggles to connect to peers. Also, there is next to no uploading on torrents on Excitel.

We are living in a world where every company/govt is trying to control whatever they can.
Shouldn't we get promised speeds on whatever service we use ?
They can very well know if someone is choking their internet by just seeding day and night.
But blanket implementation like this harms every other general user.

@JB701 Any way to circumvent this type of restriction ?
Also can I contact you on telegram etc?

One way is to get a VPN that supports port forwarding. Mullvad is one of them. I can max out my upload speed on private tracker-based torrents if I use VPN.
CGNat has been (except a few implementation), and always will be, a problem for P2P-based applications like torrents. No way around that unless you get public IP or a VPN.

excitel is not throttling speeds on torrents or any other service.

message me on private the site or exact url to file which you are trying and doesn't work

Hello Friends

I have been using Excitel 300 Mbps up/down fiber plan to which I was given a Demo and I was impressed. Little did I realize that when I saw that DEMO, I played few 8k videos and did some speedtest and was very happy with but torrenting would be nightmare on it. Worst part is I subscribed to 12 months plan in order to save money and have been stuck with this without any real use. I had to use another connection (ACT Fibernet) . But now my plan comes to an end in 4 days so I want to see if this could be solved or not. I have opened multiple tickets with customer care in past but those buggers have a standard canned reply, it is a 3rd party website (torrent) and we have no control over it.

I understand there are few inside people here at this forum. Maybe they can shed light on what is going on

Pease watch this video to understand the issue :

It's very well known, you can't do much about it. Use a VPN or a seedbox

Yes, I have seen those threads. So basically it means these super speed Excitel plans are pointless because you can stream 4k on 100 Mbps as well if that is your prime requirement. Or maybe you're a content creator who need to upload videos very fast .For the rest of us, find another provider

you can use direct downloads with idm and get full speeds. thats how i download my 100GB game in less than an hour.

most public torrents won't get you 30MB/s even on a ISP with good torrent performance anyways.

get a seedbox/debrid service.

Private trackers bro. Can max even 1GBPs . And I already have seedbox but that is an additional recurring cost. I guess it's time to say goodbye
