It has a subscription after 3 years which will be worth it if they let us export data to Excel and stuff. I did not get one thing. It will sit directly between the meter and house distribution box input if I am not wrong. How will it recognise individual appliance ? I also think making the app completely offline is a much better option rather than it becoming another company to get hacked

So I spoke to them and said there wouldn't be any subscription charge (well can't trust them, but seems reasonable to me)

I asked them about how it identifies the devices, they said each device has a consumption pattern and the sensors coupled with ML can help identify the device. There is similar device available in US called Sense which does something similar.

This indeed works really well. I have seen a demo of this tech on a small scale. Multiple appliances connected via an extension cord. Like 2 table fans. 3 Led lights, etc.
Each device when turned creates its own typical and different waveform. They were running the reader on a laptop and it could count how many fans and light were switched on at any given type. Although not instant it had a delay of about 5-8 seconds.
