I am a bit concerned about the settlements as I have come across various online complaints.

I have recently ported my mom’s health insurance to hdfc ergo after consultation with my medical friends. Yes the premiums are higher than the competition.

I am planning to get a health insurance for my parents(both are 50+). Do you guys have any good suggestions?
I have heard a lot of good things about acko health insurance. My employer provides oriental health insurance with a cover upto 10L.

I have a few questions:
1. My parents don't have a lot of health issues. My mom is pre diabetic and dad has gone through gall bladder removal surgery last year. He also does smoke often. How much cover should I opt for?
2. Premium is not a worry for me, can you guys suggest a few good options who provide cashless claim settlement in major hospitals?

Since your parents are thankfully free from any ailments, you can choose any policy that has reputable hospitals on the panel.

There would be a standard 24, 36 months waiting period for pre-existing or other specific medical conditions.

HDFC Ergo seems to be a good option with fewer hidden clauses (pretty sure kuch tou hoga hi) that would lead to claim rejections.
