So, I have been lurking in this forum for many years, and finally felt that I should also do some contribution of my own.
This is a review of D-Vois (I-ON) ISP, that is providing be FTTH services to my home. Costing about Rs. 1600/- (quarterly) for 40Mbps Unlimited Plan.
The tests are done wirelessly via a 5Ghz connection and unfortunately direct LAN connection testing was not possible, although the ping difference are quite minimum.
Test Bench:
ION FIBER ->>> ION ONT BOX ->>> LAN-to-my Firewall (Sonicwall) ->>> 10-15m of CAT6 cabling (internally to a different room) ->>> ZyXEL AP Dual Band ->>> Test PC.
The initial installation which happened 1.5 years ago (lol), was done smoothly, and everything from registration to activation was done in about 2 days.
They already had a fiber laid in the opposite building, and hence it did not take a long time for them to install in my building.
For support: They have a call center, which is usually helpful and a bit technical (compared to my previous ISP), and the local office technical staff also gave me his number for incase any fiber cuts, or any issues.
To be honest, I rarely ever had issues with the ISP (maybe 3-4 a year, yes seriously.) --> when there is fiber cut or when they are upgrading their service. Other then that, I never had any down times, and the performance was stable 24*7. Because of this, I had 4-5 friends in my area, get the same ISP too.
Now coming to performance, unfortunately I will not be able to show you any traceroutes, as D-VOIS's upstream provider has blocked all traceroutes.
So, here is a traceroute to 1.1.1.1 for you.
They don't provide public IPV4, but they do provide IPV6 for every device, so you can make use of that.
