Some ISP - Rubin or Ribbon (Didn't catch up the name) who is rolling out Fiber in one of the leading areas in Hyderabad.

Potential broadband plans according to In-charge guy

  • 50Mbps till 1TB - ₹499 > 1Mbps
  • 300Mbps till 4TB - ₹999 > 5Mbps
  • 500Mbps till 6TB - ₹1499 >10 Mbps
  • 1Gbps till 8TB - ₹2499 > 20Mbps

Seems really good.... Fingers crossed. 😍

Including gst or excluding

Should be without GST. Few mention prices with gst to maintain their attractiveness.

Differential pricing is a must in a country like India. Carrier Aggregation and Higher QoS must be reserved for higher priced plans. Tiered service is a necessity for progress and investment into network infrastructure. There’s a reason there is first class and business class on the same flight/train. Even wired broadband has tiered pricing for different FUPs and speeds.

The only reason I feel TRAI shot down this suggestion is because it will lash back at the investments Jio has made for JioPhone. All the higher ARPU customers likely to take higher priced plans will move to Airtel or Vi, and Jio will be left serving the masses with their pure-4G network for razor thin margins due to the lower ARPU of JioPhone.

I think mobile data prices need to go up, they need to provide hd content at FHD for free for broadband to be common, ARPU might come down so will be demand for spectrum so ARPU loss will be compensated as cost will come down, as vowifi is there to take advantage of low network. Yes we need better hardware providers. Companies like TP-Link sells discontinued products in other countries here at almost no discount.
When people will get OTT for free people will look for more bandwidth, that's where broadband penetration will improve and people will see use of higher bandwidth.

(Excitel has a cap where they'll shut down your internet for 'commercial use').
What did you said here??? Excitel has a cap?? How and what???

Can you share it with us? Like images or the people discussing it because it's very bad. They clearly say no FUP. I was thinking to do a continuous 300 Mbps download + upload test non stop for 30 days to test it out. Let me know. Thank you.

i would recommend not to abuse the connection. just use it as you would normally. unlimited fup free data limits is not a challenge.
