Please tell me what to do i said to the booking guy that installation shd be done on 19 of this month and given time so that installation team can place box on pole (said by sales guy of our area) call from installation team came and he said give otp for delaying shd i give ?
 
Never give otp to anyone if you don't know what it is for...

I have never heard of otp for delays so be careful.
 
@vishalrao whats the procedure for this if i paid today and wanted installation on 19,i was scared that he might Activate today only
 
dont share otp if installation not done. else you won't see that guy again.
otp here means the happy code right?
 
@igloo i do not know a message came your reques is successfully registered technician will contact you within 24 hrs of time then he called and only 4 digit code came and he said to delay the connection please share that code i simply said i will not share .The booking guy said box will be installed on your nearby electricity pole for that we need 2-3 days and said whenever you want you can install . What to do to get it installed on 19
 

@pranav sharma you should have paid them a day before the installation. Airtel installs the connection within 24-48 hrs of the payment being received. I am afraid you should have held back. Please call their helpline and inform them
 
I don't know about the procedure to delay but for ARP(Advance rental payment), sales guy will fill the CAF and take the amount online using a link shared through SMS(this also involves sharing OTP, not for money but for confirming your Expression of Interest). After payment, the installation team will lay down the infrastructure and make the building live.
After that their tech guys will come and install the router.
Atleast, this is how things happen in my place. Do note, there are no middle men/LCO involved in my case, just me and Airtel.

In my colony the cabling was installed first and only then did the Airtel guys come over to take orders. This is Airtel direct not LCO. Fiber line is then installed in the home where you wish the router to be placed and then connected to the splitter. This takes about 1-1.5 hours. In fact the ONT config guys came with the cabling team. It was more or less a seamless experience.
