@Yatch the static IP starts from 115.x.x.x but the port forwarding doesn't work from the router , I have tried it and was advised to mail them on businesscare@jio.com with resulted in no solution. Bridge mode is not available and it's mentioned in the plan details. Raising tickets on this will be pointless. Double NAT is unavoidable as that's how Jio has structured their system.

@pari588 The port forward works from the router, if you need any help PM me with the details, can set this up for you over anydesk.

Can you show me the plan details where it's mentioned bridge mode is not available ?

thanks for the FAQ, answered few questions. I guess then bridge mode is not available.

We can however forward known ports mentioned on the router, for custom ports I guess we have to raise a ticket with them.

Hi, one of my customer had subscribed to the JIO business connection with static IP, Public IP is only available with 5k/month plans onwards.

The JIO router is getting a public static IP of 115.x.x.x, and port forwarding on the router works for that IP. But you can only forward the known service ports from the port forward menu which is a security risk + double NAT. Also somehow I think this is still behind CGNAT as the ip route to 8.8.8.8 gives all private IP ranges before it reaches destination. Still this works.

Ideally I would want one of the LAN ports to be set in bridge mode so that I can get the public IP on the FW. I tried setting port 4 to bridge and VLAN 2, did not work. Have advised him to raise a ticket, lets see how this goes.

Somehow I missed seeing the Custom Services tab beside port forwarding, so basically you can forward any port with the static IP given, with double NAT abviously.

Hi, @bhojv74
We have just installed JIO Business Gigabit connection with Static IP, but for some reason I am not able to get the port forwarding working, would it be possible for you to help me out by explaining the settings you configured or help me though anydesk?

thanks

Working on the issue with @hemkant we stumbled that JIO business public IP port forward works from only another JIO network from within the same city. Did not work with Hathway, Airtel or even a JIO connection from another city. Still need to figure this out.

Hi i'm planning on getting Jio Fiber business with static IP for hosting a server which needs custom ports and both (TCP/UDP). i want to know the following:

1. Can you port forward custom ports? Is it router model specific? (I have read the thread and as you said the user can do custom ports, just confirming)

2. Were you able to solve the problem of connection only working from JIO network from within the same city?

3. Is there any downtime? any user please share.

lol. i filed a review and google rejected the appeal saying that this page (first page of the thread) still has dangerous and/or derogatory content.
