Hi. a bit technically challenged but willing to learn..
I just got my new ftth bsnl line installed. the vendor of my current ftth has now joined bsnl so he has provided me both connections through the same wire. How does this work? unless the wire actually breaks will the other connection work when one is down? my vendor says it will but I'm not convinced.

Also what hardware do I need to get. the bsnl chap has quoted 5000 to me. I also want a physical phone connection. will one ont work or do I need to add more devices? too much confusion.
which modem/router should I but and wat other things will I need.
the guy has said he will come in a couple of days sontime isnof the essence

It will, as long as the fault is not with the OLT managed by the operator. If the issue is on the ISP side, then yeah if one goes down, the other should work.
