Wifi speed capped at 100Mbps

I am using Asianet fibre and the plan says speed upto 200Mbps. I have noted steady speed between 180 and 200 when I connect the Genexis modem+router (Genexis platinum 4410) combo to my laptop using ethernet. I thought that the 2.4Ghz single band router was being a bottleneck and bought an archer C6 (v3) but there's no change in the wifi speed. 2.4Ghz bands speed doesnt go above 50Mbps and 5Ghz gets capped at 100, sometimes hits 110.

What do I have to do to gets more speed than this? I kind of feel like I have wasted 2250 rs buying this router which hasn't really improved my wifi speed in any way.

Your duplex in TP-Link maybe set to 100 Mbps ..Is it in Router mode or AP mode ?

@shashankb I tried switching between router mode and AP but noticed no change. The duplex was set to auto by default and I then changed it to 1000Mbps, still no change.

The modem and router gives full speeds ?

Haven't had the chance to test the speed from the lan port of the archer C6.

Do that and post results. TP-Link in Bridge mode

@shashankb Connected to wifi using a high end laptop and an iPhone and I got speed upto 200Mbps. I guess, my 5 year old laptop and the low budget smartphone was the bottleneck.
