I have a 300mbps connection from Excitel. I need a decent router that can support those speeds at both WLAN and LAN. I'm also looking to transfer files between devices connected to the local network (not NAS), so the router should be able to provide max bandwidth for this usage.
I suggest the following Linksys Router.
Else Tp-Link Archer C6 is still a vfm for its asking price, given that they are providing a dual core processor with latest version.
So, hitting 1 Gbps on ethernet will be easier.
Thanks. Mesh certainly is desirable in the near future. Right now I have another cheap TP-Linkrouter in a distant room connected to my main router via LAN. What's the advantage of purchasing this over 2x archer c6?
It's a gigabit port. And only one lan port not 2.
One is wan. Though both are interchangeable.
You can connect old TP-Linkrouter to single lan port on access point mode and disable wifi(not sure if that is possible) on it to make it work like switch.
What's the advantage of purchasing this over 2x archer c6?
