Router under 3k for a 300mbps connection (openwrt is non-essential)

I suggest the following Linksys Router.
Else Tp-Link Archer C6 is still a vfm for its asking price,given that they are providing a dual core processor with latest version.
So, hitting 1 Gbps on ethernet will be easier.

I have new router from DBC model hgx-323rgw-bc, Anyone know who are all the network providers support this router? Like Hathway, ACT etc?

Totally suggest mesh router suggested by @igloo . Quad core processor will make things smoother to another level.

Thanks. Mesh certainly is desirable in the near future. Right now I have another cheap TP-Link router in a distant room connected to my main router via LAN. What's the advantage of purchasing this over 2x archer c6?

Edit: Nvm. Only 2 LAN ports and not gigabit.

It's a gigabit port. And only one lan port not 2.
One is wan. Though both are interchangeable.
You can connect old TP-Link router to single lan port on access point mode and disable wifi(not sure if that is possible) on it to make it work like switch.
