Let me know how it works

I have been using lastpass for 10 years now but will have to make the switch now

My wife uses bitwarden and is quite happy with it
 
I don't seem to know how to stop chrome from filling password fields by itself on the desktop lol. I really don't want to clear my Google password account.
 
Most of my passwords are duplicated in chrome as well as lastpass. Doesn't cause any issues per se. Plus provides some redundancy as well in case I lose access to one of them
 
the thing is that i have no idea how to trigger bitwarden on desktop as well as mobile. i did set it up as the default autofill service in android settings. i tend to use web apps rather than native apps (for twitter for instance) and chrome autofills the user/password on both desktop and mobile 😂
 
I think you need to provide some special permissions for that, accessibility etc which allows it to overlay over other apps, access your keyboard etc. Lastpass does the same. Its not perfect though. Half the times, I have to go in the app and copy paste the passwords

It works much better in iOS, there is an icon shown above the keyboard and clicking it autofills your password from lastpass or bitwarden
 

got it working on android using autofill inside native app. with low lock timeout setting, you would have to authenticate literally on every login. i guess this is why i dumped enpass and switched to chrome/google's password manager few years ago.
 
I am surprised mozilla hasn't made a standalone password manager. Fits well with their ethos
 
isn't password autofill on android a native feature for a long time now? even with third party apps? google tells me it was introduced in oreo.
