Tablet under 30,000?

Thank You everyone.
How is iPad gen 8 compared to s6 lite?
going to use it for at least 3 years.
Web browsing,note-taking,readin and watching videos will be main requirement.
There are unconfirmed reports from reputable sources that iPad 9th gen is releasing spring 2021. (Source 1 and Source 2)
Should I wait or go ahead with s6 lite/ipad 8th gen?
Not in hurry but I need tablet in April.

1. Web browsing -> Even though S6 lite has a worse processor and it will effect web browsing on some sites, I'll still say that android will give you better web browsing performance. Safari is severely handicapped by Apple in multiple things and I constantly have to open a site on my PC or phone to get something done because it's just not possible to do it on safari. (Like there is no right click in safari, They just pretend magnet links don't exist and make it difficult to work with it, No real download manager)

2. Note taking, Apple is just better here. They have the better pencil and better apps but the situation on S6 lite is also decent. They also have 1-2 apps and their pencil should be fine for casual note taking.

3. Reading, I believe the 4:3 screen ratio on apple is better suited to reading than the usual 16:9 or 16:10 on samsung tablets. The books take up the entire space and fit very nicely.

4. Watching videos is better on S6 lite because of that screen ratio. On ipads, You have HUGE black bars top and bottom of the screen so watching anything on it is a terrible experience.

If you have other devices and just need a really dumb device for normal use ipads are fine and they'll last you longer than android tablets.(Assuming you don't break anything. If you do, It'll cost about the cost of the tablet to fix the part in some cases)

But S6 lite will last you 3 years easily(compared to 5-6 years on the ipad).

If you are on a budget and you do not take a LOT of notes, Get S6 lite for ~23-25k, Buy a Memory card if you need it and you should be fine.
iPad is slightly better but I won't spend ~9k extra on it with a use case like yours.
