replacing dth with jio fiber?

The thing is I am not at the installation place so I have to ask everything here. Overall it will be nice saving as ACT fiber monthly charges are more than the total 999 plan.

Airtel is offering copper so Jio seems good for normal broadband and tv use.

There is no recharge system for STB.
but I think you have to pay for plan you selected for jiofiber.
It will work fine with Broadband plans.
I think sideloading is not possible on Jio STB so you can't install Thop/Oreo or other apks.
Please confirm once.

Subscription with Jio Fiber is Disney+Hotstar VIP(399/yearly)one not Disney+Hotstar Premium(1499/yearly)
You can watch it on mobile as well.
But Screens you can watch on is 1.

Currently installation is progress. Thanks everyone for quick replies.

@Captain Tsubasa Broadband requirement is normal browsing and video call mostly. May be some office work occasionally, so random blocked urls won't be a problem and I think OTT apps will be enough for current TV requirements. If it doesn't I can always use 399/699 plans.
 
I don't think there is any such facility in the Jio Tv+ app. However, the app automatically shows the recently played channels at the top. So that is helpful to play the frequently watched channels without having to search them.
As for setting favorite shows, it depends on each individual OTT app.
For example: In Zee5, the episodes which my family members need to watch, I add them to the watchlist (from mobile or laptop). Now these episodes appear at the very top when Zee5 is opened on the Jio STB and they can be easily played.
 
there are too many options jio should have created some shortcut or favorite shows list from various apps on homepage. Its difficult for elderly people compared to dth where you can just navigate my channel number.
