depends on the network! Its assuredly better than dialup or 64k! Speeds can go upto 112k but the feel is gonna be of a dialup! the Ups and Downs i mean!
airtel is not as widely spread as reliance is. airtel broadband is not mobile. i want something i can use with my laptop on the move. any other question?
well what speeds one usually gets on Reliance Mobile phones and not Fixed wireless ones....any oneU can also go for airtel's unltd GPRS for Rs 600 pm......but sppeds arewin range of 24-32 kbps
exactly. and another point is that the dude who wants to get internet on his laptop has a reliance. he is not going to purchase a gprs enabled mobile phone and an airtel post paid connection to get that crappy speeds.
Well i've been using Reliance Rconnect for 3 yrs. Don't use it much since i have a proper broadband connection. When they had just started out and there was less traffic i was getting speeds of 13-14 KBps on my mobile. But around an year back i switched to the 1 GB limit plan on my FWP (which has a stronger antenna) used it till May this year. Speeds were decent at first 10-11KBps at nights, no disconnections. But since around Feb this year speeds have crashed dramatically.Get around 5-6 KBps with frequent disconnections. But that could be coz my tower is overloaded or something. Go for it only if u really require it, coz yeah there's no better alternative right now for mobile internet, but no point splashing out 1500 for the unlimited plan. Choose the 1 GB plan which will cost 650 p.m. It's morew than enough unless u wanna download music or movies on the move, lol.
Well I had used R-Connect when I had not other option than BSBNL dial-up. Initially it was not less than 5-6 kBps during day/peak and 9-10 kBps during night and moving upwards during night at times.Still I use it as a backup. Rarely faced disconnections. I used LG rd2030 and still use it. I get irritated with the dormancy feature. After going for Airtel BB and Data One BB I have rarely used it. Except at times when I am moving.

Dont worry. BSBL is gearing up HOT SPOTs at several places all over the country for Wi-Fi connectivity at very nominal prices and at some places they hav already announced the commencement. Initially it is costly. But for those on the move with their LupTop nothing should be costly. So you need not go hayware in search of these blind companies who always are sitting on the wall to waylay us customers, give nothing takeaway everything is their business manthra.
