How to update the email for paperless billing

My LOC used a random email while filling the form for a new Bharat fibre broadband connection to save the trouble for me (nice of him actually) but I can't seem to change it as I get logged out from BSNL self-care whenever I try to update my regular E-mail.

After getting the connection, I made a new BSNL self-care account with my regular email ID. No issues. But after logging into self-care, whenever I click on my 'Billing Account Number' to see data usage and other info, there comes a pop-up that shows 'Go Green Initiative' by BSNL .. bla bla.. I can go paperless and get 10Rs discount by opting for paperless billing using my email, but the email ID as per their record is the random one that LOC used while filling the form.

So to change that I clicked on Options > Account Profile > Edit Profile > Email Details
Now, every time I try to update the new email address (the regular one as well as a few other ones I tried unsuccessfully) for paperless billing and click on 'Update Email' I immediately get logged out. I even changed the browser thinking of some weird cash issue. Tried a different computer but the same thing is happening. For the context, my BSNL Broadband fibre account is only 14 days old, is this because of that? I'm trying this for the last seven days.
 
How about you wait for the first month's bill and see if that updates. The selfcare does not work properly before the first bill
