Is there any Sandbox like thing , where we can isolate Whatsapp , like it will have separate file system , ability to run it on VPN , gives zero data about mobile stats . If yes , then putting it there for few days before we uninstall is a better thing . The educational institutions wont change.

I don't about the sandbox thing but I use netguard on my phone which has a built in VPN though I am not sure of its efficacy.

Samsung has Secure folder. Any App or Data inside that Secure folder is not related to stuff outside Secure folder.
I guess if WhatsApp is moved inside Secure folder, it will remain isolated.

I tried Matrix ...has lot of potential ....really good ...getting users on it is a big problem

Welcome – Prosody IM came highly recommended from a source who is using it for his own personal and family communication. not for mass public though but if someone wants to run their own chat server for their personal use.

Biometrics and security in settings should have it.

it's possible it is only on knox enabled devices. looks like m31 does not have it.

tbh it's not really that big of a deal. the problem with whatsapp is not that it is stealing information from your other apps like a malware app. i am pretty sure android these days is locked enough not to let it happen easily.

I did test it with same number. I had my backup on mmc in Realme xt, sold the phn, got Poco and put the same mmc, same sim card. Tried to restore with the same key... won't restore.
I've carried Signal messages between three devices now and the backup/restore has worked both times for me. It also worked moving between my mother's old and new phones. Are you sure you copied down the code/entered it correctly?

Yeah absolutely... I did a trial of the backup on my original backup phone (XT) and then when I migrated to Poco X3 with same MMC, it failed trying to recover.
Will give it another try since it worked for you..

Edit: can't do that... Seems like I deleted the old backup since it was not working..😤
If it's working for you, then it's good news. I must have done something wrong at my end.
