Telegram, in the near future and might use Signal if they improve the UI.

I have both telegram and signal. My only gripe with signal is if you happen to transfer your backup to another phone, it won't accept it. I really need to confirm this.

if you are going to test, test with the same mobile number. it is unlikely backup would work for another number. i could be wrong though.

does not seem to say so though. so i guess numbers are not important.

I did test it with same number. I had my backup on mmc in Realme xt, sold the phn, got Poco and put the same mmc, same sim card. Tried to restore with the same key... won't restore.

A little offtopic here. I actually was thinking of creating a messaging app (serious) It is quite easy to build the app for any company or individual in India . India's own messenger will quite be popularised. But the catch lies afterwards. Handling the data. Setting up data centers in India is not simple. Renting a space or using AWS or Google Cloud is not ideal for Data privacy. And financing in a way is another hell of a job . where it does not collect data and then showing random ads in a way that it does not hinder the messaging experience for anyone . That is why Whatsapp still rules in India(they collect data but do not show ads)

Brazil and India are the top users of Whatsapp . Many people in USA still use text messaging through their carriers

Do share some innovative finance models if you have
