@vishal_k @RKhan21 Can I know where do you find the information about which phones support which particular CA combinations? Is there any way to know this before buying a new phone or is it all trial and error by you guys?

@blueman24 there's a site cacombos.com it has some devices listed.

Airtel just wants to show signal bars. They don't care whether u get good speed or bad speeds if they visit ur location and see 4Mbps speeds it's enough for them. But Vi I complained for Bad speeds they visited my location and saw 6Mbps still improved my signal somehow and deployed another band I started getting 20+Mbps with CA in non peak times

I think they are thinking that after B8 deployment coverage issues will be solved, but their idiotic network team dosent understand it's antenna optimization issues.

Deploying contiguous B40 CA will improve coverage of jio I think, both blocks will give equal signal strength after this. But it can suffer from interference within them, so it needs guard band in between. I think even it may improve battery life of our phones because it needs only one transceiver to work.

What is antenna optimization?

What is antenna optimization?
Antenna position, power levels, down tilt. Antennas should be positioned so that it covers almost all area. If not positioned properly it will create a null point were you will be in between two antennas or worst two towers causing fluctuating signal/poor signals

In India, with the ever present right of way issue, would it ever be possible to achieve this?
Every person in my village believes a telecom tower is harmful. Telecom companies are not allowed to set up towers in low-lying paddy field or marshland due to environmental laws. So now where will they set up? If by chance, they get some plot/land to buy, it usually next to one house at least. So then the best they can do in that situation is keep base power levels within acceptable limits and compromise on range/speed...

It'll never be "optimized". There'll always be some trade off(s).

@pillaicha Yes, setting up new tower is difficult process, but my issue is with already existing site which is 10 years old. It was good till 3G refarming, after that antenna positions changed by airtel causing coverage issues.

And that site emf is always less than 10% of allocated limit since 4G beginning. And gave me good full signal bars, so it can give good range but they changed something causing my area side coverage degradation.
