@vishal_k What about Jio B3 B40?

So 20Mhz B3 is still long way for airtel. It's still a mystery whether Vodafone surrendered back the 8Mhz B3, if surrendered means we have some hope, else we need to wait for sure 😑

BSNL & MTNL should stick with FTTx/Wireless internet services and ditch 2G/3G/4G altogether.
Or they can completely ditch 4g altogether and instead focus their resources building a 5g ecosystem. They already have the largest optical fibre connectivity in india, they only have to leverage it and by the india is 5g ready and they can start directly 5g services along with other private operators.

According to ET Telecom, Jio is gonna use B40 20MHz for 5G, whereas the rest of the spectrum will be on b3. b5 and 20MHz of B40. So we should expect shitty 5G speeds on b40 for the time being. After getting 100Mhz of n78, then maybe we will experience some good speeds. I do hope they auction b79 and mmWave bands in the upcoming 5G auction.

Atleast that will help govt earn some revenue instead of lying wasted. I doubt they would be given free but a nominal fee should be fine.

i think govt should give 5mhz on 700mhz band free to bsnl pan India.
Yes that would be good but still won't be enough to keep up with competition, due to the non availability of capacity spectrum, especially in urban areas. The govt should have helped them in participating in this year auctions.

Bsnl and mtnl are not allowed in auction, because it becomes unfair to private players, since they can jack up prices for private players.
