Hello everyone,
i need a help in establishing a 2KM point to point link, i plan to share my internet connection with my friend since he don't have access to fiber, i need suggestions on what type of CPE to use and configs. I have shortlisted TP-Link cpe610, cpe 510 and cpe 210, i live in a rural area surrounded by coconut trees, do i need to point the CPE above the coconut trees? any help would be appreciated!

Do you have clear line of sight?.
Is the home of your friend is visible from yours?

These can give you some ideas

I would suggest Ubiquiti for 2 kilometers. Tp- Link will give low speeds

Also use Cat-6 outdoor rated thick shielded cable for all the outdoor cabling you are going to do . Atleast till the point where you bring it inside into your premises. Do it at both sides

Overall it is a costly project(may cost somewhere around 12k) to execute for getting a 50 Mbps link over that distance

But it will be a waste of money if you get 1 or 2 Mbps . It would be great if your friend can get an ISP . What are the speeds you are trying to achieve here
The TP-Link 210 on the website shows 5km+ on the model . Here in real deployments(as shown in video) , the speed they are getting is 2 Mbps on a 1km range.

The thing is there is no cable operator is willing to give connection in his area!
this is the only option available

@Shailendra P. The real speeds differ significantly than the claimed speeds over that range. So it is better to watch some reviews who have achieved those near about speeds which the user wants
