Reliance Jio to non-Jio network calls are free from January 1, 2021

So gone are the days where data used to freely flow. I ported from Jio to Vi and I am astounded by the 4G speed increase. I get 50 Mbps+ routinely in Mumbai and that is enough for my normal usage.
Previously I had purchased those Jio vouchers to get 1299 24 GB plan. Now all that is over and question of porting back to Jio doesn't even arise.
 
Has any one noticed that the separate display of the value in your account which was used for non jio calls has disappeared. Question is where is the money gone? I don't see any change to my balance or expiry date.🤔😡
Their online chat is totally useless.

Strange then I wonder what happened to my balance? I don't make that many calls. According to their claim it never expires so my adding a 1299 plan in que should not disturb it. Even their statement does not show it. Should have been around 60+ rupees.

Puting it here in case anyone faces the same problem. I called 198 from my jio number & it gave the entire litany of whats in que, current plan details etc. Most importantly it also told me that I have my top up balance still intact in my account. God knows why its not visible in the app.

Maybe they would provide this with an update in the app. Given that changes have been introduced wrt validity, cost etc.
Just my guess.

Try making a 4G data recharge of 51 in myjio. If the available balance was more than 51, you will get the option to use the balance. It would also show total balance available. Do not go through further and return to main screen.
 
So, the talktime balance has disappeared for me too starting today evening. Not appearing in the app or the statement.

Call 1299. You'll get an sms with your plans and balance. It worked for me.
 
Off topic: Is any one else facing problem with jio when people are not able to connect your phone? It gives a message that the phone is out of coverage or doesn't connect at all. Whereas, you are getting full signal in your phone. At the very same time, even outgoing calls do not connect. The phone still shows Volte symbol. Restarting the phone solves the problem. My wife and I are facing this problem for some time now and it is completely random.
 
@Sachin23 This happened to me in nov last year & restarting solved the problem. At that time I thought that probably that signal strength had gone down for a while which might have created this situation. But it happened only to my phone with a jio sim but not to any other phone in the house also with a jio sim.
