This post is just to gamers who play online multiplayers .
Do not get bsnl ftth even though it's only option in your area.
Trust me I am writing this post after 4 months of struggle.
I have spoken to (literally explained what is ping and gaming ) broadband team to get better routing .
They ask you trace route details and continue to sleep.
It may give speed but not latency you wanted.
Even though using fiber technology, they are making packet loss to almost every multiplayer online game.
I am not even exaggerating.
If you still get that fiber and play fps games you'll get mental irritation once every round , your teammates avoid you.
To prove my point , look at pings below

Do not fall for cheap speeds and data it is not always important.
If you are in a location where only bsnl is available, look out for 4g signal strength of 850mhz( b5 ) jio or 2100 or 1800 mhz for airtel ( b1 and b3 ) if it's good then lock to that band and you'll get exactly the same ping on 4g compared to bsnl ftth.

nah, bsnl pings are good when u dont have any other options.
i get 70-80 in cs servers , which isnt that good, but hey its something.
Before u say jio 4g,i have 300-900 ping on it , at least from where i live.

experience depends on location and lco/bsnl staff. I live in UP and consistently get ~40ms to csgo/valorant Mumbai servers. Did run into some packet loss and latency issues for 2-3 months around june and kept complaining to lco, he said he was working on routing and I dont know if he actually did or didn't but things have been good ever since.

i can play with that ping but can't play with packet loss and my teammates don't get similar pings to sgp-1 . And (pings on ss)this is best possible scenario . if dynamic ip changes , pings will be terrible again . I have to restart modem several times to get this result which will take minimum 15-20mins .

I'm not sure what's the issue, but earlier I used to get 40ms in matches when the menu showed 33ms. These days the best I see is 55ms and mostly 60+. Not sure if it's on valorant's end or my ISP(railwire).

Bsnl ftth is crap when it comes to latency in online gaming..I stopped playing fortnite just because of this so called "fiber" connection....worst routing I have ever seen...donot reccomend at all if you value low latency without packet loss
