@imdarkray If possible do let us know if you have managed to get Airtel connection. I am in a similar situation with the last connection point from a building to my building is ~300m. Atleast I would know if I should pursue with them for a connection.
Airtel booking guys have been instructed to book the connection for around 100-150m distance only.

So the booking guys and I tried to talk with the LCO, but he is refusing as someone earlier paid for extra fiber in cash to him and got the connection installed. But later he complained/emailed Airtel about the extra charges he had paid. As Airtel had clearly instructed LCOs not to take any money from the Customer and not to provide the connection to more than 150m distance, there was an escalation on him. Any further complaints can reflect in the form of discontinuation of the contract between him and Airtel. So yeah, he denied.

But in your case, it can work. You can try to talk with your LCO and get it done.

That's sad to hear... In my case Airtel has the only option of laying underground cable, no Lco model here as they themselves are stuck with copper. 😒

Problem with underground cables is permission of road cutting. I had to do 8 months of constant followups with airtel to get this finally done.

As much my luck would have it, MGL(just like IGL for Delhi) had dug up roads to lay underground pipes for gas three times. I mentioned the Airtel guy(assuming he was sales) but to no vail. There is still some underground digging to concretise the road at some distance with lots of road digging. Guess, money seems to be the only incentive that works for them.. 😒
I am sure Govt/BMC/MCD would have given some freedom for deployment of underground cable given the WFH scene.

Actually not. Municipality is the hindrance here. In Noida, the Noida authority ask for tons of money and is very fussy about permissions.

Somehow I managed to call an Airtel booking guy and visit my place. As he was here, he booked my connection but said not to do the payment because my area is not live. He would call me to pay as soon as the area is live.

Can anyone please confirm if I get the connection from the 300m away distribution box? Will it affect the quality of the connection- say of the 200mbps plan?

I Don’t know about speed and fluctuations.
But they won’t give connection.
I have box at exactly 160 meters
And even for more money they’re not providing connection.
Local representative told me He’ll install connection on or before 20 January.( Without extra Charges)

So, finally, my Airtel connection is installed.
The operator has asked me to take a 6-month subscription. So, I took 6 months 200Mbps connection.
I had to pay 2k extra for the long-distance and extra fiber. Total cost= 8.54k

They installed Nokia Router.
Airtel servers are having full download/upload on LAN.
But on LAN. other servers have very throttled upload (around 10Mbps). Also on 5Ghz wifi, even Airtel servers have very slow speed (around 50/8 Mbps D/U).
If anyone knows the solution, please share.

@Aakash Malhotra At my place, Airtel connections are from LCOs. To get the connection I had to convenience LCO for the same. and this I did with help of the Airtel booking guy. Also, the most important thing, I paid 2000rs. extra in cash to him (for extra 200m fiber)- This is not necessary and If you call Airtel, they will get you refunded as the LCOs are not advised to take any money in cash. But in a good faith, I am not going to Airtel for this.

And I forgot to mention- they took 15 days for installation after booking- even after paying extra and all.

Is there any slecific reason why they deny connection more than 100 meters away? I contacted a Jio salesman and he said they were afraid of the wire getting cut by the local residents if it passes over their rooftop. Doesn't make much sense.

Cost benefit ratio... If the length of the wire is more than what the company can get in return as profit, they will outrightly deny a single connection. Hence they say, get more members or pay from your pocket.

@imdarkray hey bro in my area the local operators are asking 3000 rs for one month with installation of airtel broadband. Please tell me what to do. On the Airtel official website I saw that they are giving 3 months recharge with free installation charge in only 3000 rs. Plz help what to do?
