CAN'T PORT FORWARD ON BHARAT FIBRE HELP!!

Hi I have BSNL BHARAT FIBRE and I am unable to successfully open ports in order to host server for playing games.

I previously had a GENEXIS(provided by BSNL) router where I was able to successfully open ports and my friends were able to join my servers.

Recently they(BSNL) changed my router and gave me a Syrotech router. Now, even though I am able to forward ports by logging in to the router and forward the required ports and then enable DMZ . But My friends are unable to join my server and I also checked in canyouseeme . org and other such port checkers , they all said that my port was closed (Connection timed out). I have disabled windows defender firewall and other firewalls in my laptop.

Can anyone plz help me out/guide me if I'm doing something wrong .

check your ip address online here and on ont's pppoe connection, then post the results here.

you can check it in pppoe status in ont.

Check NAT configuration option on Syrotech ont. Put that to NAT 2 or 1.

Even my server is on and when I use portchecker they say it's closed . My friends can't connect my server.

Are you asking about this ip. If this is it then both the ip addresses that you asked for are same.

Try disabling firewall in the ont / router config. or whitelist the port you're using for forwarding.

Your ip is public only, it should work then. Did this problem start after ont change ?

Try NAT 2 Type, as it will use port forwarding. NAT 1 is open for all ports thus security threat.

What exactly did you do?
Did you assign persistent INTERNAL IP ADDRESS to whichever device you wanna use as SERVER?
If you don't specify correct port and internal IP address, there is no way for the router to decide where to send the incoming connection and leads to drop of the connection.
There is a guide on the forum. I am currently busy,would link it when i have time. You can try searching the forum.

How do you think NAT table would work if it does not know which INTERNAL IP address is the target of incoming connection?
NAT 1 and NAT 2 are useless configuration unless your NAT table know how it should handle incoming connections....
You need to specify a port formward entry in the ONT so that it know that theincoming connection are to be directed to which downstream device.😉

yes local ip address is required to port forward and it should be static then only nat will work.
