Despite state governments pre-populating data of health and frontline workers – who were prioritized for Covid vaccination in the first round itself – there has been 24% increase in healthcare workers’ database in the past few days, health secretary Rajesh Bhushan has pointed out in a letter to states on Saturday.

so because of their own incompetence, healthcare workers are now ineligible to get vaccines.

There is a very simple solution to this entire mess. Open vaccination for everyone. But nope.

How is it simple? Won’t it make worse the presumed shortage of vaccines? That’s obviously the reason it’s called a deferred vaccination schedule. Some people blame the women and children first policy adopted on the Titanic. The thing is it was indeed the right choice, except it was implemented horribly due to lack of training and of course, natural human panic.
In India, pertaining to this situation, there’s clearly no panic or lack of training. Just unscrupulous morals of the public overall. Sab chalta hai attitude.

The UK's Health Regulator has today recommended healthy people under 30 shouldn't be given the Oxford AZ vaccine since the risk of getting blood clots is higher than the benefit of the vaccine for them.

7 lakh or 1.4cr
I am confused.

Edit: 92 lakh doses has been already given to people in Maharashtra as per cowin site. This 7 lakh number I guess in pipeline (from prakash javdekar tweet).

Idk how tax they pay is related to the no of doses they get, also population wise comparison is selective.

There could be a shortage but stupid tweets with misinformation is not going to help. Looks very politically motivated.

If vaccine doses were proportional to tax paid then Delhi should have been fully vaccinated by now

Was there every any doubt all this brouhaha is politically motivated? The motto? Never trust politicians!

EDIT - LOL! And these morons want the vaccinations open to >25! HAH! Fat chance with a so called "shortage"! 😀

Just to mislead the general public and score political points. Politicians know only one thing to divert the attention of public. Suddenly the discussion has changed in MH from badly handling second wave to vaccine scarcity.

Even Pfizer & Moderna vaccines have caused rare blood disorders in USA which is getting less media publicity. Difficult to trust the big pharma corporates.
