Also Pfizer's former vice-president also said there's no need for vaccine, it's experimental, can be a huge risk.(long-term)

Education does not always succeed in weeding out religious fundamentalism. Worse sometimes it equips you with the skills to sound like an intelligent fool.

The US is one of the largest countries that experimented with an open no-quarantine policy for the greater part of the last year. Australia, on the other hand, adopted scientifically backed policies of epidemic control. The death rates or secondary infection rate/unit population in both the countries speak for itself.

Another example actually happening as we speak is Israel. They tried the US method before going on their vaccination spree. The decline in new cases right now, after 60% of the population is vaccinated at least once, is something anti-vaxxers just never bother to even attempt explaining.

Doctors do. A few factors need to be kept in mind especially for heart patients who have had a PCI Stent or acute MI in the past 6 months, stroke or DVTs history. Also women above 45 who are going through menopause on Hormone replacement therapy and couples on Oral contraceptives all have an elevated risk compared to the normal population.

I'm sure no trained physician will be an anti-vaxxer because they are literally trained in every aspect of it from its history, merits and consequences when things go wrong. So please if any of your parents or yourself are on long term medications or are known cases of chronic illnesses, besides the usual like diabetes or uncomplicated hypertension, having a word with your physician is a very good idea. Nothing to lose, potentially a lot to gain.

nothing major illnesses you mentioned, my mom have diabetes and dad have hypertension. actually one of my friend had to consult a doctor before vaccination but later i came to know that his father has a heart ailment thats why.

Has anyone of you tried the walk in option for vaccination? Is the digital certificate issued for walk in persons too?

I have registered on cowin portal but I am not able to schedule any appointments in nearby hospitals. All I am seeing is grey circles for whole week.

Okay, so aarogya setu app is showing availability for same date and center while cowin portal doesn't allow to select. Also more centres are available on aarogya setu app. Quite strange.

Yup same in many places. Some paid centers are not showing on the COWIN portal, only on Aarogya setu. Finally had to install aarogya setu and schedule an appointment.
