So fun experience at the vaccination center just now.

Went there. Went to guy in charge. Told him that dad got vaccinated on March 30. He responded abhi 28 days kaha hue hai.

I explained that dad's first dose is still not registered on the portal.

He said kya proof hai vaccine lagi hai.

Told him I went directly to nurse as I had registered online. She entered dad's details in her register.

He blew up. How can you bypass the registration window. Even vips can't bypass registration window. It's your mistake to bypass registration window. That was my cue to leave.

But apparently even non vips can get vaccination without visiting the registration window. 👍

So now what happens?🤔😳

all hospital gives some confirmation slip right? either the provisional certificate from cowin site or a card with vaccine and beneficiary details.

Did they just allowed you to leave without checking if you stayed for 30mins there?

Yup. That's how it is happening here. No certificate. Nothing. Only computer is at registration window. At vaccinating point they are just filling a paper register 👏

Based on this I have a feeling that if you don't even get vaccine, you still get vaccinated in database unless they are matching data from inner register. If they are doing that, how the fuck did they just ignore dad's entry. Crazy shit.

For god's sake, open up vaccination for all. And allow even private clinics to give vaccines.
Pakistan has done that from yesterday

$80 for a 2-dose regimen of Sputnik V

initially when vaccination was opened for 60+ hospital were not giving instant certificate, they will give a you card with details filled manually like name, vaccinator name, batch no of vaccine and next date.

But some confirmation was given.

After registration at hospital you are not marked as vaccinated in database, it happens after nurse adminster the vaccine and then issue the confirmation certificate or card containing all the details. Thats when you get the confirmation sms.

What would a doctor do? If he is himself an anti Vax he would say don't go for it. Stop going to that doctor.

Yup. You are going to get personal opinion from doctors. It's not like doctors have access to confidential information about vaccine reaction on people with different existing health issues.

Doctors do. A few factors need to be kept in mind especially for heart patients who have had a PCI Stent or acute MI in the past 6 months, stroke or DVTs history. Also women above 45 who are going through menopause on Hormone replacement therapy and couples on Oral contraceptives all have an elevated risk compared to the normal population.

I'm sure no trained physician will be an anti-vaxxer because they are literally trained in every aspect of it from its history, merits and consequences when things go wrong. So please if any of your parents or yourself are on long term medications or are known cases of chronic illnesses, besides the usual like diabetes or uncomplicated hypertension, having a word with your physician is a very good idea. Nothing to lose, potentially a lot to gain.
