India's COVID-19 Vaccination Drive

Have you taken the booster dose?

By the time we will have vaccines everyone will be infected, those who survive will have natural immunity. And a lot of people will die.

Honestly it's crazy people still don't want to take this seriously. How hard is to just to keep the damm mask on, once the death rate starts climbing everyone will start wearing their mask.

I have a rant.
Reading and hearing the on-ground stories from people, twitter, IBF and various sources.

1. The Government that we voted to power is just not concerned. Winning elections and taking pride in the huge gatherings in their rallies is the only thing they are concerned about.
2. The home minister of our country is always without a mask. Seriously! I mean zara si bhi Sharam baaki hai tum me? Everyone around him is with a mask every time, but this guy! Na to tum itne sundar dikhte ho ki log tadap rahe hain tumhari shakal dekhne k liye.
3. Our media! The less we talk about them, the better it is.
4. Ministers hoarding up remedesivir to ultimately give them away at their party offices! Cheap publicity.
5. Under reporting cases/deaths
6. Asking covid centers to stop testing to show less number of cases
7. Asking suppliers to not to supply medical supplies to Maharashtra.
8. I remember the reactions during Tablighi jamat time. Look at the way they are reacting now - Kumbh mela
9. There is fault from we the general public as well, but what i am seeing from our leaders is just disgusting to say the least.

I really do not wish that such people come back to power again, but the other parties are no less either. It all about politics in our country.

Kis level tak girenge ye log! The politicians and media have made a mockery of this country.

I used to love my country once but.. This is next level.

If you have not understood it already, government treats people like rats. You can see a pattern when you compare the manipulation of death data, disposal of dead bodies, suppressing voices and what not. Travel back in time, citizenship bill, farmers bill, demonetization, quashing every voice raised against Rafael deal, and the list goes on and on . Make a list of every action that the one in power has taken. You will meet the soul which governs the central body, and it will send shivers down your spine.

He's urging people to vote in record numbers in the middle of a pandemic. When there's no place to keep dead bodies. What kind of a soul this person has, what do you guys think?

Modi, it gives me no pleasure to tell the readers, met virtually all the criteria that psychiatrists, psycho-analysts and psychologists had set up after years of empirical work on the authoritarian personality. He had the same mix of puritanical rigidity, narrowing of emotional life, massive use of the ego defence of projection, denial and fear of his own passions combined with fantasies of violence – all set within the matrix of clear paranoid and obsessive personality traits. I still remember the cool, measured tone in which he elaborated a theory of cosmic conspiracy against India that painted every Muslim as a suspected traitor and a potential terrorist. I came out of the interview shaken and told Yagnik that, for the first time, I had met a textbook case of a fascist and a prospective killer, perhaps even a future mass murderer.

It's on form for him

So this doesn't end well. It's happening. Let's just proactively start teaching the kids about this regime and it's anticipated end game. At least that way, they'll be Kinder to this generation for taking the nation back another 50 years.

Giving away Remdesivir for free at rallies. Lol. That drug lasts for 24 hours max in an Air conditioned room. How many people at these rallies where temperatures are above 40°C go back immediately after getting it? How many of them get to go back to a refrigerator?

So that explains the lack of any concern from the drug controllers and phsycians. That expensive vial of potentially life saving medicine, has its purpose destroyed and so, what if people drink it/inject it/add it to their roti and eat it.

At least they'll think ek Mahan admi has given us dawai for the evil disease for free. He cares for poor like us. Yes if there's a God among men, it's he. Vote Mai unko hi dunga.

Just sad. Where or how can this nation be turned back?

Remdesivir has shown to have no impact on mortality, at best it reduces the length of your hospital stay by 2-3 days if given at the start. So if patients with critical condition are being given that, then it's not even doing anything.

My friend lost his father today, he got admitted to a hospital when his oxygen saturation had dropped to 65, there is pretty much no hope for survival at that point.

I'm sorry for your loss. Yes you're correct about Remdesivir. It's only for mild and moderate cases, as an emergency approval use for experimental purposes.

WW2 the Germans were "experimenting" with different types of antibiotics. Some worked, lots failed, several died. Just felt like leaving this grim fact here. You can make your associations.

They have started selling anti viral nasal sprays here in the UK (approved by the medical regulator) which forms a protective barrier inside your nose and inactivates 99.9% of viruses coming in contact for 4-6 hours. I wonder the Indian government didn't try to pursue something like that.

@Sachin23 I don't think what you have posted can, by any means, be called as rant. Your's is a genuine concern which any rational, law abiding citizen would raise when he says things going haywire in the country.
But we also have to remember that we get the governance what we ask for through our votes. These people don't drop from air, we bring them to power. Only 44% of the population voted so my no means the present govt can claim that majority of population voted for this PM. It is now upto us what we want from our govt.
As time progresses and this continues, people will lose faith in the election process and it won't be long before anarchy strikes our country.
Just as we have fanbois for Apple, Xiaomi, Realme, the govt has created it's own set of fanbois. It is upto us to determine if what those puppets say is information or disinformation.
It's like choosing between the worst parties. I think we all would agree that no party is "Doodh ka dhula hua" it's practically impossible anywhere, more so for India. If we keep on choosing the same faulty mixer-grinder again and again thinking something is wrong with us instead of the machine, then we deserve what we get.
While the pandemic is huge and no party would have been able to effectively deal with it, but no one is asking the govt to implement rocket science. Basic steps like control people's behaviour, ban mass gathering, coordinate with state CM's to dispatch immediate relief rather than being in rallies. Even this is too much for them.

I was watching BBC news yesterday and we have literally become a laughing stock with their reporting on Kumbh Mela.
@Samuel He is a politician that's it...won't rate him anything more than that.

Naushad Forbes, former President of the CII (Confederation of Indian Industries), said this. “In January 2021 India approved its first vaccines for use. The Ken Nutgraf tells us that between July 2020 (before any vaccines had passed testing) and January 2021, the US ordered (and paid for) over 600 million doses. That’s for a population of 300 million. In the same period, India ordered 11 million doses, for a country of 1300 million.”
