India's COVID-19 Vaccination Drive

Have you taken the booster dose?

Nothing conflicting. Both reports say the same. Pfizer one dose was very effective was against the alpha variant in UK but for delta variant which is slowly becoming dominant in UK a second booster dose of pfizer will be required.
In vitro antibody neutralisation shows only one part of the immune response. Public health data on actual outcomes in infected people showed a 30% efficacy for both AZ and Pfizer with one dose and 60/87% respectively after two

I would say if the center you get your vaccine is center owned then 56",if owned by state then CM and if private no photo.

Today mom and mother in law both completed 1 month after taking 2nd dose of Covishield. So we did an antibody bloodtest. To our utter shock, both the ladies have tested negative for Covid Antibodies !!

Is Covishield a trash vaccine? I have forwarded the reports to Nair Hospital for further scrutiny.

AFAIK, antibodies are produced when an antigen enters the system. Without the virus, there won't be an antibody mostly. Nothing to worry.

"Your body continues making antibodies and memory B cells for a couple of weeks after vaccination. Over time, the antibodies will gradually disappear, but the memory B cells will remain dormant in your body for many years."

The body stops making antibodies sometime after it's sure the antigen is gone. But it remembers the antibody-antigen pair so that it can quickly produce it later if needed. This way, the body fights the disease better and from the very beginning of the infection.

Also, the aim of vaccination is not to provide universal immunity but to achieve herd immunity. This way, the ones who do not have the immunity will also be protected, since the chain of transmission won't be successful. But good luck with that with our rate of vaccinations.

Anyway, it's always better to consult a professional rather than making specious claims ourselves. Also, I'm not 100% sure I'm correct here. Meanwhile, this video gives a concise explanation of our immune system:

Edit: added some more sources.

This is not true at all, the body has other defences like memory T cells but this does not mean that antibodies will not be produced especially a month after getting the vaccine.

We literally have no information more at this point right? No info if the person is immuno compromised (diabetes, age, previous history of chicken pox), if the immune response is long drawn out, if there's any mistake in the labs part, if the sensitivity possible at that lab with the test strips they have is too low to detect circulation antibodies? Lots of questions.

Such a contradictory post to official sources borders on instigation of a conspiracy theory. And by official sources, vaccines have been verified to cause immune response, antibodies, prevent infections (efficacy is calculated on this), etc.
Anyway looking forward to the hospital's response. They may refer you to an ELISA test. It'll be as expensive as the vaccine.

@pillaicha
Unfortunarely, the same Elisa test was performed and it says so on the reports. It was done at Phadke labs which are Gold standard here in Mumbai.

I am awaiting Nair Hospital’s response. So far 6 people I know who did antibody test… all have tested positive for antibodies 1 month after 2nd dose.
