People who really only want Pfizer better wait if there is availability in July-Aug as per news reports. Ideally people should take the one whichever is available but there shouldn't be scenario where people keep on blaming vaccines for getting covid. Take pfizer when available at least for your satisfaction.

Both. Alpha is the strain first detected in UK and Delta is the double mutation strain first detected in India. Both wrecked havoc in different states. In states like Punjab, Alpha was the dominant strain while in Delhi initially it was Alpha but slowly Delta became the dominant one.
Nothing conflicting. Both reports say the same. Pfizer one dose was very effective was against the alpha variant in UK but for delta variant which is slowly becoming dominant in UK a second booster dose of pfizer will be required.
