@mikrotik Even SBI gives CC based on your savings account. I spoke at my branch when I was applying against an FD. The person at the CC department also suggested me to get one against my savings account. She showed me the form section to authorize the CC department to check my savings account details for issuing the card against it. She is a branch employee and not the temporary sales persons waiting at the gate to sell you CCs. So, this is a reliable source. She told I would have to maintain around 30K on an average for 6-7 months, the more the merrier. 1 L is good at SBI. You just have to show that you have the money to pay the credit card bills and SBI has been profiting off you. You can do away with the salary slip/ ITR part in this case, which is otherwise the main criteria of issuing you a CC or any loan so as to speak. You do have to have a strong CIBIL though. If SBI is giving, HDFC would be more than happy to grant you a CC. From what I know, HDFC pushes you pre approved cards if you have a healthy banking relationship with them.
