Vodafone India VoWiFi Service Launched

My handset is supported... But not a voda customer.😛

I still strongly believe in standardised issues of each and every commercialised technologyso that there is minimal optimisation required.
Exclusivity is just another thing.
Volte stack should be standardised and have defined characteristics instead of requiring the radio manufacturer ( usually chipset company) to provide new set of instructions.

@Kick933 what you mentioned will become more apparent with the launch of 5g. Both Jio and Airtel are adopting different approaches and it remains to be seen how both will be compatible with each other in India.

Jio approach sucks man....
AFAIK, they are basically just using 4g with small improvement as 5g without any modifications to the core network.
So, No latency benefits, added virtualisation overhead........ And no increased capacity...
Consider it just that the radio is getting a spectrum boost....😑

@sng_shivang , is you vi SIM prepaid or postpaid???

Also you need to do recharge to use ims volte vowifi service in vi. They throw you off from volte service if you haven't recharge
It is an older Vodafone SIM card but that isn't the problem here in UPE as it's the carrier network and Idea is the one that has shut down.

And yes, I had to recharge and the phone then connected to LTE. VoLTE is working perfect so it's a matter of time when they activate VoWifi in my circle as my phone is already updated and supports VoWifi.
