Vodafone India VoWiFi Service Launched

@Kick933 what you mentioned will become more apparent with the launch of 5g. Both Jio and Airtel are adopting different approaches and it remains to be seen how both will be compatible with each other in India.
But airtel is not even considering 5g for now, for them 4g is also more than enough for us, only complaint for them is that we are not paying enough for their 4g., they want the rates back to what they were charging earlier before jio

There is zero info about their 5g deployment in news , atleast jio is saying something.

Jio approach sucks man....
AFAIK, they are basically just using 4g with small improvement as 5g without any modifications to the core network.
So, No latency benefits, added virtualisation overhead........ And no increased capacity...
Consider it just that the radio is getting a spectrum boost....😑
Thats because the govt has not decided on the spectrum allocations for 5g, only some bands are decided..., things will get more clarity after govt decide the appropriate spectrum with, isro, military and all

From Airtel's perspective, it makes sense for them. Jio with its huge pocket can afford to go for a loss and wipe out tne entire competition. Airtel, voda more or less survive on profits from telecom sector unlike Reliance.
But that still does not mean they have the right to rip off customers. Charging high amounts and reinvesting them to improve technology would make sense..
Airtel is still gung ho over AGR case. What I think is they will purchase the spectrum and setup infra when appropriate.
Let's continue about 5g in that other thread. I Feel so lame that I brought 5g topic in this thread..

lol... who is govt....Khota Bhai is like "Hamm Jahan se khade hote Hain, line wahin se start Hoti Hain"...

First they will complete their indigenous research/ jugaad.... and than accordingly bands will be notified as per their convenience.

How is the call quality in comparison to Jio & Airtel VoWifi?

ah that explains why my calls do get recorded when i am out. but not when i am at home.

This VoWifi doesn't let your phone record calls with inbuilt call recorder. Hence I ain't using it with airtel. Samsung Note 9 user here.
I had same observation last week, so stopped using VoWiFi. Recording is needed for me at the moment.

This is known issue. WiFi calling and cellular calling are handled by different chipsets. So the only option is to use some over the top apps. They don’t work perfectly either

For me it's mostly for the lulz because Samsung is the first device I have owned that can actually record calls. Secondly it helps to listen in case you missed out on some information or you need clarity.
