My Nokia G-140W-C provided by Airtel has different bitrates on different LAN ports and I noticed this today. I have connected Deco M4 to one port and my laptop to another. Most of the time I get 300+ Mbps speed on my Wi-Fi (via Deco M4) and on my Laptop (via LAN) but recently I started noticing that my laptop does not go over 100 Mbps while Wi-Fi works as expected. Out of curiosity I opened LAN status on Nokia Modem and found that the port to which Deco is connected has 1000 max bitrate while the laptop one has only 100 as max bitrate, strange thing is even if I swap ports the setting stay the same for the respective devices. My laptop and deco both have gigabit port. I am not sure why it started happening and how to fix this. Any suggestions?

i have had similar experiences with lan cables starting to malfunction randomly. so they are the first thing i swap when i see packet loss or speed drop...

Your laptop ethernet port is negotiating connection at 100Mps. does it have Gigabit port?
could be cable
Port configuration in Device manager.
Laptop Battery Saver option(Yes my Dell Laptop does this connects at lower speed when running on battery).

Hi,
I am facing the same issue. I am on Airtel 300 Mbps plan with the Nokia G-140w-C modem. Wired connection to the laptop from the modem results in speeds of 350 Mbps. However if I connect my Asus RT51U router to the Nokia router, the speeds are 90-100 Mbps. Swapped the LAN cables & ports but still the situation remains the same.
Any suggestions would be welcome
