Reliance JioFi (4G)
Hi,
I am using Reliance Jio 4G sim installed on a JioFi device (hotspot). I have no other Internet connection. Honestly I am very satisfied with the speed but problem is the daily limit is only 3GB. If I watch Youtube videos even in 720p the 3G limit gets exhausted pretty fast. Other than that its awesome.

Anyone using a 4G connection as their primary source ?

I use vi 4g as my primary connection! i recharge with 351 rs which gives 100gb data for 56 days.

I use Airtel with their 4G Home WiFi router/CPE device, on the 399 per month plan which has FUP of 50 GB, using it as backup to my BSNL FTTH connection.

In the beginning a couple of years ago I used to get 30-40 mbps speeds on it but these days it has come down to 10-20 mbps mostly.

If you want more data you can always go with Vi Postpaid plan in a hotspot . I think they are providing unlimited data. for 699 + taxes. It will double your monthly plan cost also

Yeah I have gone through it . 60 mins or something right . But it is best available unlimited plan on a cellular network. Once in a month it can be put in a 2G phone and put back inside

Same here. But I have 499 plan with 75 GB. 2 days back I changed to another 499 plan which also gives 75 GB with data rollover upto 275 GB. But this new plan also has subscription for Wynk, Amazon Prime, Hotstar VIP and some more along with unlimited call and sms (which is of no use as it in dongle).
Earlier Airtel 4G was my primary and it gave good speed upto 20 Mbps, but in March speed got very bad, so I got local FTTH internet. These days Airtel 4G gives me around 4-5 Mbps speed which is good for office calls as well as watching movies on Fire TV Stick occasionally.

Yes! i agree that it is the best unlimited plan available right now, since airtel's plan is too costly and limited to 500 gb per month, The thing is that i use Vi simcard in an outdoor modem, it would be difficult for me to remove the simcard every month. this is a great disadvantage for me!!!!

on Vi , you have to use voice also, else u will be considered as a commercial user, i ve created a thread regarding this.
I want to port my vi prepaid to postpaid so that I can use the 699 unlimited data plan in my phone and my laptop via tethering.
My question is that is it really unlimited data or is there some hidden data capping?

No one has put that to test practically . But there will be a limit , considering it is wireless . Somewhere around 3000 GB might be a good number . Do update if you cross somewhere near that . You have to use your phone number for calling atleast for 60 mins for that to work. Otherwise it will be considered a commercial connection
