they gave me this fancy AC ONT even though I only paid 750. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to bridge this.

Model: DBC BC-323DAC-HGX

First of all Bridge option is grayed out in WebUi and I had to change it using Inspect Element.

But then, when I cloned the MAC of this to my PFSense router. It disconnected the LAN port. Idk some MAC Conflict.

Without MAC it won't authenticate PPPoE.

Also, this pile of shit broadcasts the www.excitel.com SSID.

Get a dumb onu from the lco 😛

Mac reset used to be an option on their portal and app. Probably removed for fiber accounts.

yep, its gone now. ill try my other ONU. it does Register with OLT. But PPPoE don't seem to work. Not sure if they are validating Serial No and MAC of ONU.

Going triple NAT for now :/

i can't seem to locate it on my account. plus the 4999 plan now show 200mbps lol. i do wonder if they would downgrade me to 200mbps when my current plan expires later this month. would be very annoying because 9 fucking months. or maybe it would be stuck at 100mbps.

Never mind. Mac Reset option is present here: Excitel.

@Sushubh go to profile section on my excitel portal. U will find the option to reset mac id and its only available to people with dumb onu and single band wifi onu.

Serial code/mac id binding matters?
Recently changed my router attached to dumb onu. Only userid n pwd were added. No mac or serial change needed.

it only matters for onu if you are on ftth infra and matters for router if you are normal ethernet network. for ethernet, you can reset it from your end but for onu, i dont think we can

Idk if I should split this off to another thread but I will ask here for now? Is there any ONT which allows user to change ONT Serial and ONT MAC?

In Bangalore I don't have this issue. I have swapped my ONT with another with zero config changes. I have the dumb ONT.

I doubt it's the ONT mac though. What do you see in the PPPoE logs when you initiate the auth when bridged with a different ONT?

Why you accepted this ont when you paid rs.750 for dumb ont?
I guess only your lco can solve this by making changes in olt. Ask him. In excitel you are left to mercy of lco.

It wasn't a "worse" ONT that's why I took it. Didn't expect this problem

it does Register with my other ONT

This is the PPPoE config

The cable is indeed connected properly, I put in the IP of ONT in PFSense and it loaded the WebUI fine. Just PPPoE don't seem to work.
