Is anyone facing buffering and timeout issues in streaming services from today morning? Yesterday internet was down in the evening for couple of hours and it all started after that.

My connection is having some problems in streaming Hotstar. And from few days i am experiencing a strange issue in peak hours. If i restart my modem on peak hours(9am to 9pm), it will take long time to get connected, some times it may take up to 2 hrs to connect. Until then no PON light and no LOS light. So i am afraid of switching Off modem now. Sometimes i get IP starting at 59.

It looks like BSNL has done some update. This is what happens when I tested on browser. Clearly an issue with network.

BSNL had added so many customers recently and it looks like their competitors along with some insiders want to pull it down. Other than that I can't see any reasons for issues in a connection that was performing well for many years now. Temporary issues we can always understand.

BSNL launched new plans which reduce our overall bills(in relation with older plans) . Now they will make us put money in VPN 🤷‍♂️because of crappy routing
I think only NOC specific issue . Prime video working fine here . Hotstar also 👍

Changing the MTU did the trick. But that reduced the speed of most of the websites and download speed.
Finally I changed the configuration to bridge which addressed the issue and providing consistent speed across all devices and websites now. Interestingly MTU of 1492 configured in other router works perfectly in bridge !

It seems like an issue in BSNL network which occurred after some modifications in their infra.
