Hi im looking for a ONT Device which is compatible with BSNL FTTH
My LCO is charging 3500 for device and 2500(250m) for fiber cable to my home, so im trying to reduce some cost. i’ve selected Netlink HG323DAC for now.
Please let me know if it is compatible or not, other suggestions are also welcome.
Thanks

@varkey has a ONT if you are looking for . It is even Serial Number clone-able and supports MAC cloning. It all depends on the the LCO of yours . Their OLT(Router for your local provider) must support your ONT . Generally Huawei , Netlink , Alphion , Syrotech are used often

If you plan to use the ONT in PPPoE mode , the one you selected will be suitable as it has built-in Wifi . Otherwise a normal ONT with a Gigabit port will work just fine if Bridge mode is your use case

thanks for letting me know about this OLT thing, i’ve seen syrotech ONT at my friends home so they must be using Syrotech OLT right? and i need to get a syrotech ont then if lco is using syrotech OLT

you are right ... But the OLT they use are cross compatible too provided they all use GPON technology . So popular ONT should work fine .

Best is ask the LCO or your provider if they support Huawei or any brand you are planning to buy.
Do not blindly go for 3500 ONT . It is quite costly as they are just dumb boxes. You can get Huawei ONT as low as 1700

For example my provider has Syrotech OLT but it is compatible with Alphion which i am using

Big thanks, guess i’ll have to talk to LCO, i hope they will agree to my request of installing third party ONT

@eriek_halenx The whole point is avoiding the LCO as he will overcharge for the barebone ONT also . Installation is the only part where LCO can make good money
