Don't you get it most of the time you download anything fron web which can be installed....

It is considered virus because it changes the way TCP stack behaves. But the change is for good....

Its open source. I'm not good with low level languages like C so I cannot confirm if its good. However, the code isn't obfuscated at all. I think its being detected as malware since as Kick993 said, it messes with traffic and zip contains batch scripts which need to run as Administrator for it to work.
Running 1_russia_redirect does seem to unblock the sites from blacklist.txt
service_install_russia_blacklist.bat creates a service which makes GoodByeDPI start on boot.

Just as caution..use it when absolutely necessary. It has been reported that it messes up with games as most games use periodic TCP packets to report the state of user and can lead to ban. Some have already been banned.
Just use it when you are out there to visit aany site.And exit it after that.
