Cosmic Byte CB-GK-11 Mechanical Keyboard for ₹ 2879

Hi,

I'm planning to buy this keyboard as my very old logitech membrane keyboard is dying.
The Q and E and many other keys work intermittently and I've tried cleaning it many many times, but it is pretty old and I want a mechanical keyboard, so...

How is this keyboard?

Previously tried the TVS Gold keyboard, didn't like it as the backspace key is very small and on a whole, the keyboard is huge, so returned it and looking for another one.

Tbh this is my first mechanical keyboard so I don't have anything to compare it to. But I do enjoy typing a lot more on this one than on any previous keyboards I had. The key presses feel really nice and the RGB colouring makes it look cool. The backspace key is decent on this one if that's your issue.

Uploaded a reference image for the size if that helps. Been using it for 20+ days and so far no complaints.

Thanks for the fast reply @Navjot Singh

The picture really helps, thanks for that.
Does not look as bulky as the TVS one.

Did you get the Brown key switches or the Blue one?
Does it come with any kind of macros/software to set up any custom RGB settings?

Not OP but even if they don't offer the macro setup. Microsoft does offer a tool in the powerToys lineup for windows which allows you to use any key as macro key in any keyboard on Windows.

I got the blue switch option. Also, what's the difference between the two if anyone knows since I have no idea? lol And nope. There is no software for this keyboard. The RGB adjustment is all done through the keyboard itself.

The blue switches are tactical with the click click sound. Whereas the brown are supposed to be tactile without the click click sound.
You can try listening to a YouTube comparison between switches if needed

Ah thank you @achaudhary997 , will surely look into it.

Yea I was watching some random youtube videos which said that Brown switches are really bad, so just wanted to know how they are, but I've been leaning towards the Blue version, so I'll get the Blue ones now😛

Also, what are those smaller circular keys above the numpad? Are those like normal numlock and caps lock lights or something else?

They are not keys but indicators. Usual scroll/caps/num lock and a windows key lock indicator. There is one more indicator and even after reading the manual, I couldn't make sense of it or what it does. lol

FN + PRINT: 6 keys and full keys exchange, default and power off will restore 6 keys, the indicator ''N" on the top right corner will light up or diffuse
.

Okay, so I got the keyboard today (went with the blue switches), set it up and everything works well.

Some queries I had:

What is that G/N print on the Print Screen key? Maybe related to N-key rollover/Game mode?
Edit: My bad, you mentioned that it is some mystery.

The lighting as of now illuminates only the special characters in the numbers, can we set it so that the actual numbers are lit up?

What is the App key?
It's given in the manual that Fn+App - Adjusts the "backlit" of logo, but I can't find that key anywhere.

Any idea @Navjot Singh ?

I can't find the App key either. But if you think, the logo doesn't look it can be illuminated. Maybe it was for a different variant of the same keyboard.

And yes, I haven't figured out the way to light the lower characters as well. The manual doesn't say anything about it either. Have submitted the ticket for the same. lol Tbh, it doesn't really affect me much. Its probably by design I guess?

And thanks for solving the mystery option. lol
