Poor network everywhere and Volte/Vowifi not working

They kick you off the LTE network altogether if the number doesn't have an active plan. So it's pretty obvious why VoLTE wasn't functional.

This doesn't apply for everyone actually, Airtel and Jio network here is chocked af, while Vi with the most customers still providing the fastest speeds, Jio and Airtel can't compete in Kerala, after 3G shutdown its 40Mhz FDD and 30Mhz TDD CA everything is enabled 4CA you name it

Actually everyone has this perception about Vi that its a shitty network, Every where u go you hear it's a shitty network, media is always blaming Vi, loosing that loosing this, i was an airtel/Jio user while they where both giving 1mbps during peak hours i had thought Vi would be even worse, then i tried Vi before integration it was usable but after the integration it just got crazy, i had only B3 10Mhz while it became 20Mhz and Got all 5 bands on my serving site, B3 20Mhz, B8 10Mhz, B1 10Mhz, B40 10Mhz, B41 20Mhz, everything was being upgraded, still sites are being upgraded while airtel/Jio has remained the same till today 1mbps during peak hours, while Vi is giving almost 30mbps during peak hours with 1+3+8 CA, Now Vi's network is good in those top Circles like Mumbai,MP, Kerala,WB, Gujarat etc

I was pretty surprised that my aunt on VI was getting 20-30mbps speeds during evening peak hours in Mumbai. Didn't get time to do further tests but even in my room(no towers in line of sight), it still have me around 10 Mbps.
While yes there are hiccups, I can say that if and when their integration is complete it can be a good alternative to Jio and Airtel.

Very true, I had worst experience with other 2 ,but only better experience with vi..

By the way u said there is b8 10 mhz, but I have seen only b8 5 mhz mostly..

you can,t say it overall.i have visited pan india and thier network is good infact very good in thier top 3 circles of which are Kerala,Gujarat and Mumbai so people those who are from these circles for them vi is definetley best to go although depends on area to area.But vi is like top circles full rain and other circles full dry.for ex BH and JH where they have not even deployed b41 in 95 percent sites.Not even volte is available for VF(Vi) availabe for idea(Vi) only.

But Vi there is one serious drama as per my visits in different circles.in Roaming the discriminate users and give them less priority over local users of that particular circle.This i did not like at all.This thing is not there in airtel or Jio.

Not supporting Vi.But they have actually improved too much in thier top circles even routing is improved very much in those circles infact better than jio and airtel.

yeah unless your roaming idea sim only benefit even that is throttled to some extent in some VF anchor network circles

@amalrakoff no bro not to some extent.To very great extent even idea sim is throttled in VF anchor network circle. i recently visited Mumbai got 170Mbps on my local mumbai sim of VF but my JH circle Idea sim was throttled so bad that it did not cross even 30Mbps

I second this. If one is facing issues, chances are that your experience will improve as they’re fine tuning the network in some places. In Kolkata, I see Vi consistently hit higher speeds than Jio, sometimes surpassing Airtel as well. People who don’t use Vi have this notion that their network is unusable, which is totally untrue.

I think top/weak circles are not necessarily the best way to judge network performance. If a particular TSP works in the places one wants it to, then it shouldn’t matter whether it’s a weak circle for that TSP or not.

@Crazyguy030601 not the case with vi.In weak circles they are just deployed b3 in 95 percent sites as well as routing is overshit so bad that you can,t even browse even if you are getting good speed.and in top circles they have good 3Ca,good routing as well as all bands are deployed.once visit gujarat,kerala or Mumbai and buy a local sim there and then test their network speed you will be surprised.Below i attached vi 3Ca speed test in mumbai.

I precisely said that if it works where one wants it to, it probably doesn’t matter if it’s a stronghold for that TSP. I was just trying to imply that credit needs to be given where it’s due. You must have seen me complaining about call connectivity on Vi in this forum before lol

PS routing might be fixed later on. In Kolkata, their routing has improved than before, so it might improve for you as well.

@Crazyguy030601 yes i know you bro.But thing i wanted to say is in weak circles they are not doing any thing.For ex BH and JH there even Volte is not launched properly.I am in this state and you won,t beleive even in capital city Ranchi they have not deployed b41 on towers.Not even a single tower in entire city has b41.all just have b3 10mhz only no other bands.

Yeah, I’ll agree their network is pretty bad in Bihar. I’ve heard that they have tons of blank spots there.
