That is because they want to maximize the profits. One of the LCOs shared the mail he had received. The mail asked him to sell old(costly) plans to users unless there is a competition due to other ISPs. This is why they don't update the new plans on their website.

Yeah they are offering new plans only to attract new subscriptions. Otherwise they dont even care to update their old customers about new plans and keep them in dark. This is very unfortunate. Other ISPs at least try to update their subscribers about new plans. Even I had to ask my LCO multiple times to change my plan.

Has your ping improved for Railtel Bbsr server? And can you share the results for traceroute to 1.1.1.1 (tracert 1.1.1.1 in cmd)..
It is pretty unstable, ranging from 12 - 20 at time or over 100
But that's because all our traffic still goes to Kolkata first and if the Kolkata Gateaway ping is high, everything else is.
Kolkata server ping has been fluctuating around 7 - 12ms or even more.
Bhubaneswar server ping has been fluctuating from 12 - 16 or more.
And the reason we get less to Kolkata and and not to Bhubaneswar server is as I said, all our traffic goes to Kolkata first and then to their destination.
The least pings i have got so far from both the servers are
Kolkata Server - 6ms
Bhubaneswar Server - 12ms

as for the tracert
here it is (The ping to Kolkata server is 9ms at the time of doing this test)

Tracing route to one.one.one.one [1.1.1.1]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 2 ms 1 ms 1 ms 100.103.128.1
3 15 ms 12 ms 10 ms 172.31.110.240
4 * 9 ms 10 ms 172.31.242.58
5 8 ms 9 ms 9 ms 172.31.200.3
6 10 ms 9 ms 9 ms 172.31.10.185
7 10 ms 9 ms 8 ms 100.100.107.107
8 8 ms 8 ms 8 ms 100.100.107.106
9 9 ms 9 ms 8 ms 172.31.184.59
10 11 ms 10 ms 9 ms 125.18.192.93
11 47 ms 42 ms 41 ms 182.79.208.200
12 40 ms 41 ms 40 ms 182.79.161.171
13 42 ms 44 ms 44 ms one.one.one.one [1.1.1.1]

Something which I noted just now is that your traffic is going through airtel IP(125.18.192.93) 11th hop. This is the same IP which I used to have for my traceroutes. So I'm guessing that they are routing every single traffic through that. Instead of that, if they route you to Mumbai directly using their own network, they can easily bring down the ping(which used to happen 2-3 months back).

I do have a cloudping test while we were routed through Hyderabad?
The international pings were considerably better on that but not so much for the mumbai pings.
and well ya they aren't really making use of their own network efficiently ig.
have a look at the pings tho

The Plans will be officially rolling out soon. Some LCOs are bad. My LCO is a good guy thus he agreed to give me the updated plans before the official roll-out of Plans.

The new Railwire plans are really good. The pings have improved a lot and I hardly face any downtime in my location. Upload & Download both im getting 30Mbps (a bit more actually) with pings varying from 7-14ms to Kolkata Server.

I can pretty much assure you that the pings we should get to a neighboring state in perfect or even good conditions shouldn't be more than 1 or 2 ms. And here we are talking about being on the Same network too.

But I have seen Jio GigaFiber pings of around 6-9ms in some Youtube videos.

Jio Fiber has one of the worst routing so it can never be took as a baseline to compare.
I get 32 to Valorant Mumbai whereas people using Jio Fiber here get 40 - 60 to the same server. My friend with BSNL has better pings.
meanwhile one of my friends in Delhi gets pretty great pings (Both in speedtest and in realworld), he gets under 5ms to almost all servers in Delhi and 0ms to its same ISPs server and to some servers in Noida, under 25 ping to Mumbai and under 35 to Chennai, so there is that.

Well if you bring it to the notice of the Backend team be it Airtel or Jio , they acknowledge your problem and actually try to fix it . Where does that happen in Railwire and BSNL ? I have heard very recently about 1 or 2 guys getting their routing fixed , thats all . The NIB always avoids calls be it the GM or a Network Operator

@shashankb The issue with Railwire is that the NOC guys who have the control and understanding of the routing and issues related with it rarely respond. My mails to them were always ignored. Although I rarely had any routing related issues while using Railwire and the ping all over India was the best I could get at my location(can confirm this as I've switched to Jio fiber).

well it is currently 3:30AM rn and we are being routed through Hyderabad rn, and the pings are well pretty good
RailTel Hyderabad is 15ms
Chennai servers are 25ms (all of them)
Mumbai is around or below 45ms
Singapore is 55ms
almost all US pings are 250~ish
and Europe pings are 150 - 170ish varying
mostly at nights we get the best speeds and routing
Also
Steam and Google Peering working, getting 100Mbps on these services using 50Mbps plan.
